Where Manokamna Bhawan sits

Manokamna Bhawan is in the Main Bhawan Complex, near the Shrine Cave of Mata Vaishno Devi, in the Trikuta Hills area of Reasi District, Jammu & Kashmir. Katra is the base town where the yatra begins. We are up at the Bhawan itself, about 200–720 m from the Shrine Cave.

That location is what we offer. Pilgrims arrive after a long climb, and a room that close to the shrine means you can rest, freshen up and go for darshan without another long walk.

Why stay at the Bhawan instead of Katra

Many pilgrims book a hotel in Katra and treat the Bhawan as a same-day climb, which means doing the hardest part of the trek twice: once up, and once back down to reach their room. Staying at the Bhawan itself removes that second trip. You arrive, check in any time of day or night, and only need to cover the short stretch to the Shrine Cave once you are rested and ready for darshan.

This matters most for families with children, elderly travellers, and anyone who has used a pony, palki, battery car or the Katra–Sanjichhat helicopter for part of the journey — whichever way you came up, your room is close by rather than back down the mountain.
